My Wine Personality: Fun & Flirty

I’m a sucker for online quizzes (I blame Buzzfeed), but VineDication’s online wine personality quiz was actually one that I learned a lot from!

If you haven’t heard of VineDication, they’re an online wine retailer/wine club focused on helping people explore undiscovered wine gems from Virginia and across the world. It’s a women-owned business as well, which I love supporting since we all know we need more girl power in the wine industry! I did a virtual Q&A with their founder, Nicole Columbo, check it out here.

The VineDication website set up a really fun quiz that helps you learn about which wines on their website you will enjoy the most based on your personal preferences, which is super helpful! My results were fun and flirty (which I’ll share below), and I decided to go ahead and buy the 3 Virginia wines recommended to me to see how I liked it.

You are fun, flirty, and everyone wants to be your friend. As sarcastic as you can be, you are also equally sweet at heart and have a positive ‘let’s celebrate’ outlook on life. You care what others think of you which can open you to heartbreak, but even so, you are always willing to help anyone in need. While you enjoy the finer things in life, VineDication recommends the following wine that is just as much life of the party as you are! Cheers!

Based on your unique, bubbly personality, you should taste:

E-ville Pink Drink | Glass House Winery. This estate grown blend of 70% Cabernet Franc, 25% Chambourcin, and 5% Petit Verdot that has a savory mouthwatering acidity with notes of strawberry, hibiscus, and tart cherry that leaves a clean finish.

Pairings: White Pizza, Tuscan Chicken Skillet, Thai Cucumber Salad, Honey Glazed Salmon, Shrimp Tacos, Pinwheel Sandwichs, Crab Dip, Gouda Cheese, Bruschetta, and Chocolate Strawberry Torte

Your other recommendations: Fille Des Etoiles "Daughter of the Stars" | Cave Ridge Vineyard and Victorian Red | Gray Ghost Winery

I really liked how they gave food pairing recommendations because that is an area that I haven’t really learned much about yet. And actually, something really cool that VineDication does is that they email you a wine card with a little description about the wineries, what the wine would go well with, and even a recipe to try with the wine! I’ll link them below with my take on them for you guys to take a peak and learn a little more about each wine!

E-Ville Pink Drink: This was the main wine recommended to me based on my quiz results, and it was by far my favorite. It is a great table rosé, that can appeal to many different taste preferences which makes it perfect for a wine night with friends! It didn't taste too sweet to me, it felt just right.

I served this one chilled for my friend while watching The Bachelor Recaps that have been airing and snacking on cheese, fruits and crackers.

Fille Des Etoiles "Daughter of the Stars": For all my sweet wine lovers, this one is for you! This wine had a good balance of being more on the sweet side, but still being refreshing, and was my friend’s favorite!

A great sparkling rosé for a fun celebration! I served this one chilled as well.

Victorian Red | Gray Ghost Winery: This was the dessert wine recommendation and I must say it was very unique! It’s a very “light” red, almost reminded me of a ros

é

, and although it is technically a dessert wine, it’s not like a port or overwhelmingly sugary, so you could drink it as a normal red.

I can see this being a good introductory red for people who aren’t fans of red wine or dessert wine! To support his point, this was my boyfriend’s favorite of the night (who just recently started dipping his toes in the wine world).

I can’t finish this review without talking about the adorable tea light candle they added to my order as a sneak peak of a new line of products they’ll be offering soon! Love what the VineDication ladies have been doing, and I can’t wait to see their business grow!

Such a nice touch! Their little Black Cherry Merlot tea light candle fit perfectly inside the candle holder I had in my bedroom.

IT SMELLED AMAZING! Can’t wait for them to have full sized candles, it’ll be such a great gift item!
